Crock Pot Tomato Sauce

  • 2 cans crushed tomatoes, 28 oz.
  • 2 cans tomato puree, 28 oz.
  • 1 can tomato paste, 18 oz.
  • 0.3 cup extra virginia olive oil
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 2 clove garlic, sliced
  • 1 tbsp dry basil
  • 2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 0.5 lg. carrots, shredded

Instructions

    Heat oil in crock pot then add onion and carrot and garlic. Saute on high

    until transparent. Add tomatoes and seasonings (basil and seasoned salt) and

    add 1 can of water (or dry red wine) from the 18 ounce can that had the paste in

  4. 4

    it. Cook on low all day.

    3-4 lb. beef roast

    1 can beer

    1 pkg. onion soup mix

    Trim fat from roast. Put roast in crock pot and sprinkle with soup mix. Pour

    beer over top. Cook on low for about 8 hours. Cut or pull apart to make

  11. 11

    sandwiches on hard roll. Juice makes an excellent dip.
