Crock Pot Tomato Sauce

- 2 cans crushed tomatoes, 28 oz.
- 2 cans tomato puree, 28 oz.
- 1 can tomato paste, 18 oz.
- 0.3 cup extra virginia olive oil
- 1 med. onion, chopped
- 4 bay leaves
- 2 clove garlic, sliced
- 1 tbsp dry basil
- 2 tsp seasoned salt
- 1 0.5 lg. carrots, shredded

Heat oil in crock pot then add onion and carrot and garlic. Saute on high

until transparent. Add tomatoes and seasonings (basil and seasoned salt) and

add 1 can of water (or dry red wine) from the 18 ounce can that had the paste in

it. Cook on low all day.

Trim fat from roast. Put roast in crock pot and sprinkle with soup mix. Pour

beer over top. Cook on low for about 8 hours. Cut or pull apart to make

sandwiches on hard roll. Juice makes an excellent dip.
