  • 8 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 0.5 pint single cream (light cream or half-and-half)
  • 3 good knobs (tablespoons) butter
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Pinch nutmeg, optional

Instructions

    Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water until tender

    Drain and mash until smooth

  3. 3

    Add the cream, butter, seasoning, and nutmeg and mix well into your lovely mashed potato.
