- 8 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 0.5 pint single cream (light cream or half-and-half)
- 3 good knobs (tablespoons) butter
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Pinch nutmeg, optional
Instructions

Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water until tender

Drain and mash until smooth
- 3
Add the cream, butter, seasoning, and nutmeg and mix well into your lovely mashed potato.
