Ingredients

Servings
4
  • 0.8 cup cold boiled
  • 1 slice onion
  • halibut
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pint milk
  • 11/2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.

  2. 2

Add onion and cook until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

Add potatoes and garlic and cook until potatoes softened slightly, about 10 minutes.

  4. 4

Combine the water, stock, daikon, the minced halibut, the whites of the green onion, and all wet ingredients from the soup section and simmer in a soup pot for 10 minutes.

  5. 5

Bring the soup to a low simmer and cook for about 25-30 minutes uncovered until the potatoes are fork tender.

  6. 6

Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon so nothing sticks to the bottom of the pot and burns.

  7. 7

Use forks to flake the seared halibut.
