  • 4 hoagie or sub rolls, split
  • 0.5 lb sliced salami
  • 0.5 lb sliced capicola or ham
  • 0.5 lb sliced provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 0.5 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 0.3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 0.3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

    Drizzle cut sides of each roll with olive oil.

    Layer the salami, capicola, and provolone cheese on the bottom half of each roll.

    In a bowl, toss shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion with red wine vinegar, olive oil, and dried oregano. Season with salt and pepper.

    Pile the dressed vegetables on top of the meats and cheese.

    Close the sandwiches, pressing firmly. Slice in half and serve.
