Ingredients

Servings
4
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 lb raw lobster meat, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 0.8 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 3 slice bread, crusts removed, torn into pieces
  • 0.5 cup Danish blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish.

  2. 2

Melt butter in a pot over low heat. Gently sauté lobster meat until it just begins to change color; do not overcook. Remove lobster with a slotted spoon and set aside.

  3. 3

Stir flour, dry mustard, salt, and pepper into the remaining butter. Gradually whisk in cream and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

Return lobster to the pot. Stir in torn bread pieces and crumbled blue cheese.

  5. 5

Pour into prepared baking dish. Bake 20–25 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned.
