Creamy Ginger Shrimp

- 2 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 0.8 cup whipping cream, divided
- 1 lemon juice only
- 0.5 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 0.3 cup butter
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 cup cooked rice, for serving

Melt butter in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry shrimp until almost done.

Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp. Sprinkle ginger, onion powder, and garlic powder over shrimp. Continue cooking until shrimp are done. Remove shrimp and set aside.

Add soy sauce to the pan drippings.

Mix half the whipping cream with cornstarch in a separate bowl until smooth.

Pour remaining cream into the pan with drippings and cook until bubbly. Add cream-cornstarch mixture and stir constantly until sauce thickens.

Return shrimp to pan and stir to coat. Serve over hot cooked rice.
