Orange Cinnamon Chicken

- 1 whole chicken whole chicken, cut into serving pieces (about 3 lb)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 4 oz butter
- 2 cup orange juice
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.3 tsp black pepper
- 0.3 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the chicken pieces on all sides. Remove chicken to the slow cooker as each piece browns.

Combine the chicken broth, orange juice, raisins, salt, pepper, and cinnamon. Mix well and pour over the chicken.

Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours, or until the chicken is very tender.

Remove 1 cup of the cooking liquid from the pot and whisk in the flour until smooth.

Return the flour-sauce mixture to the pot. Turn to HIGH and cook an additional 30 minutes until the sauce has thickened.

Serve the chicken over hot cooked rice with the orange cinnamon sauce spooned over the top.
