Hungarian Cucumber Salad

  • 2 0.5 cucumbers cucumbers (2-3), sliced
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1 0.5 tsp sugar
  • 0.3 tsp paprika
  • 0.3 tsp white pepper
  • 0.5 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 green onions fresh green onions, diced
  • 1 cup thick sour cream
  • 0.3 tsp paprika (for garnish)

Instructions

    Slice cucumbers thinly into a bowl; sprinkle with salt and mix. Set aside for 1 hour.

    Mix vinegar, a little water, sugar, paprika, white pepper, and garlic together. Set aside.

    Squeeze liquid from cucumber slices a few at a time. Discard liquid.

    Add vinegar mixture, green onions, and sour cream to the cucumbers. Mix well.

    Sprinkle additional paprika over top. Chill for 1 to 2 hours before serving.
