German Pork Chop Feast

  • 6 pork chops
  • 4 potatoes, sliced
  • 1 can sauerkraut
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 0.3 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

    Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Brown in oil in a skillet.

    Place browned chops in a casserole. Slice potatoes over the top. Mound sauerkraut on the pork chops.

    Remove excess fat from the skillet. Add water to the skillet and heat, scraping up browned bits to make a broth.

    Pour resulting broth over the sauerkraut. Cover tightly.

    Bake at 325°F for 2–2½ hours until pork is very tender.
