- 0.5 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 softshell crabs, cleaned
- 0.5 lb shucked oysters
- 1 cup masa flour
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.5 cup yellow cornmeal
- 2 small French bread loaves
- 0.3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 6 slice fresh tomatoes

Heat oil in a large saucepan to 350°F.

Season the shrimp, softshell crabs, and oysters with salt and cayenne.

In a shallow pan, combine the masa flour, all-purpose flour, and cornmeal. Season with salt and cayenne.

Dredge the shrimp, softshell crabs, and oysters in the seasoned flour, coating completely.

Fry the seafood in the hot oil until golden-brown, about 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Drain on a paper-lined plate. Season with salt and hot sauce.

Split the French bread loaves in half. Spread mayonnaise on both sides. Build sandwiches with the fried seafood, lettuce, and tomatoes.
