- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. sage
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. chives
- 1/2 tsp. marjoram

Lightly grease a baking sheet.

Sift dry ingredients together in a large bowl.

Cut in butter until mixture forms crumbles.

Stir in herbs.

Stir in buttermilk and form the dough into a ball.

Knead dough lightly on floured surface until smooth.

Preheat oven to 375F.

Transfer dough to baking sheet and form a rough loaf.
