Curried Salad

  • 6 cups mixed garden vegetables (try celery slices, carrot strips, cauliflower green and red peppers, turnip strips)
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup salad oil
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh ground pepper
  • 2 tsp. curry powder
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

    Steam vegetables for 5 minutes.

    Drain and cool.

    Mix all ingredients well and pour over vegetables.

    Let chill overnight in refrigerator.
