Navajo Fried Bread

  • 4 cup flour
  • 1 tbs baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbs powdered milk
  • 1 0.5 cup warm water
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 large peeled and cubed potato all dry ingredients, thoroughly. Beat eggs, gradually
  • 2 1/2 cups water adding milk. Add egg mixture alternately with honey
  • 3 tbs yeast4 tbs pancake syrup at room temp to dry ingredients. Beat well. Stir in acorns and
