- 0.5 each onion, thinly sliced
- 2 each cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 0.5 cup champagne vinegar
- 0.5 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp plus 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 0.3 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp celery seeds
- 1 tsp pickling spice
- 4 each whole garlic cloves, smashed
- 1 each ) Combine the onion and cucumber slices in a clean spring-top jar.
- 2 each ) Combine the remaining ingredients, with the exception of the garlic, in a non-reactive
- 3 each ) Bring to a boil and simmer for 4 full minutes to wake up the spice flavors.
- 4 each ) Add the garlic cloves to the jar.
- 5 each ) Slowly and gently pour the pickling liquid over the onion and cucumber slices, filling to
