- 2 cup split green peas

l Clove garlic, chopped

2 Stalks celery, sliced

2 Carrots, sliced

2 Potatoes, cubed

l Bay leaf

l/4 Teaspoon thyme

l/4 Teaspoon basil

l Teaspoon salt

l. Cook peas in stock with bay leaf until they are tender and mushy

(about 6 hours).

2. Add seasonings and vegetables and cook about 20 minutes until veg-

etables are tender.

3. Turn heat down and simmer for a half hour or so to let the flavors

blend.
