Hot Holiday Punch

  • 3 cups of unsweetened apple juice or apple cider
  • 2 cups of orange juice
  • 1 cup of honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 whole allspice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground ginger

Instructions

    Mix the apple juice, orange juice, lemon juice, and honey or maple syrup in a 2 quart sauce pan.

    Cover and bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.

    Combine the spices in a 10-inch square cheese cloth bag.

    Add the spice bag to the liquid and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Pour the warm punch into cups

  7. 7

    Garnish with orange slices and/or cinnamon sticks
