- 3 cups sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly.

Add egg and vanilla then mix well.

Gradually stir in sifted dry ingredients until well blended.

Chill to make the dough easier to handle.

Roll small amounts of dough 1/8-inch thick on a floured board.
