Grandmother’s Tomato Marmalade

  • 5 lbs. of firm ripe Tomatoes
  • 8 cups Sugar
  • 1 Orange, sliced thin
  • 1 Lemon, sliced thin

Instructions

    Peel and quarter tomatoes. Cover with sugar; allow to stand overnight.

    Drain off syrup; bring to boiling point and cook until syrup spins a thread.

  3. 3

    Add tomato sections, oranges, and lemon slices. Cook over low heat until tomato is transparent.

  4. 4

    Pour into sterilized glasses and seal immediately.
