Wine-Simmered Pork Chops with Walnuts
Pork loin chops slow-cooked with red wine, garlic, and onion until very tender, then topped with toasted walnuts and fresh parsley.

- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 clove garlic, minced
- 0.3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 lb center-cut loin pork chops (4 chops)
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 0.3 cup dry red wine or beef broth
- 0.5 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped

In slow cooker, combine onion, garlic, and 3 tbsp of the parsley.

Sprinkle pork chops with pepper; dust with flour. Arrange over onion mixture, overlapping slightly if necessary.

Pour in wine. Cover and cook at LOW until pork is very tender when pierced, 7–8 hours.

Shortly before pork is done, spread walnuts in a shallow pan and bake at 350°F for 8–10 minutes until toasted.

Lift pork chops to a warm platter. Skim and discard fat from onion mixture; season with salt.

Spoon onion mixture over chops; sprinkle with toasted walnuts and remaining 1 tbsp parsley.
