  • 0.5 lb Italian sausage links, casings removed
  • 8 oz canned tomato sauce
  • 1 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 count eggs
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.3 tsp dried oregano

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Remove casings from sausages and lightly brown the meat in a frying pan. Drain excess fat.

    Transfer browned sausage to a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Pour tomato sauce over sausage.

    Add a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.

    For the crust: whisk together the milk, flour, vegetable oil, salt, and eggs until smooth — the batter will resemble pancake dough.

    Pour the batter evenly over the cheese layer. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and a dash of oregano.

    Bake for about 45 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and set.
