- 4 tbsp espresso coffee
- 1 tbsp Grappa
- 3 eggs, separated
- 0.5 cup sugar
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese
- 24 Savoiardi (ladyfinger) biscuits
- 1 oz sweet chocolate, grated

Combine espresso and Grappa in a small bowl; set aside.

Beat egg whites until stiff; set aside.

Beat egg yolks with sugar until thick and lemon-colored. Add mascarpone and blend.

Gently fold beaten egg whites into the cheese mixture.

Place half of the biscuits in the bottom of a 10-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle with half the coffee mixture.

Cover with half the cheese mixture. Repeat process.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Serve with grated chocolate on top.
