  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 0.5 tsp dry crushed red peppers
  • dry pinto beans
  • 2 cup chopped potatoes
  • beef rump roast
  • 2 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • banana or green pepper strip Put mixture of flour, paprika,
  • 1 tsp chili powder, and
  • 2 medium onions, sliced salt in a gallon zip-lock. Add beef cubes and shake
  • 2 cup tomato juice to coat cubes well. Brown in olive oil in Dutch oven.
  • 1 can tomato sauce Add onion and garlic and cook until soft. Then add
  • 0.5 cup water tomatoes, chili powder, cinnamon, cloves, and
  • 2 tsp cider vinegar peppers. Cover and simmer 2 hours. Add potatoes
  • 2 tsp brown sugar and carrots and cook another 45 minutes. Serve
  • 2 tsp salt with Red Chili Biscuits., see listing
  • 1 tsp each dry mustard & thyme

Instructions

    Wash beans. Cover with cold water and soak SOURDOUGH STEAK

    overnight. Bring beans to boil and cook 1 hour.

    Drain and discard water. Cut roast into 1in cubes. 3-4 lb round steak

    Brown roast in hot oil in a Dutch oven. Add peppers 1 cup flour

    and Add onion and cook until tender. Add beans 2 tsp onion powder

    and remaining ingredients. Cover and bake 3 hours 2 tsp paprika

    or until beans are tender and meat is done. 1 tsp red pepper

    1 cup sourdough starter
