Taco Bell Crispitos

Copycat Taco Bell crispitos — flour tortilla quarters deep-fried until golden and crispy, then rolled in cinnamon sugar for a sweet, crunchy Mexican-style dessert treat.

  • 1/8 cup ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 10 count flour tortillas
  • 4 cup oil, for frying

Instructions

    Mix cinnamon and sugar together very well in a shallow bowl.

    Heat oil in a Dutch oven or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).

    Quarter each tortilla into 4 triangles.

    Fry 2–4 tortilla pieces at a time. Cook about 30 seconds on one side until golden, flip, and repeat. Both sides should be golden brown.

    Remove and drain on paper towels briefly, then while still hot, toss generously in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
