Swedish Cabbage Rolls
Tender cabbage leaves stuffed with ground beef, rice, and onion, slow-cooked in a tangy tomato sauce with brown sugar, lemon juice, and Worcestershire for 7 to 9 hours.

- 12 large cabbage leaves
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 0.3 cup milk
- 0.3 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.3 tsp black pepper
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Immerse cabbage in boiling water until limp; drain.

Combine egg, milk, onion, salt, pepper, ground beef, and cooked rice.

Place about ¼ cup meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf. Fold in sides and roll up.

Place rolls in crockpot. Mix tomato sauce with brown sugar, lemon juice, and Worcestershire; pour over rolls.
