Slow Cooker Steak Roulade

  • 3 lb thin round steaks
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 0.8 cup chopped onion
  • 0.8 cup chopped bacon
  • 0.3 cup water

Instructions

    Trim fat from steaks. Season with salt and pepper.

    Mix chopped onion and bacon together; spread over each steak.

    Roll each steak up like a jelly roll and tie tightly in several places with kitchen string.

    Place rolled steaks in slow cooker and add water.

  5. 5

    Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours until very tender.

    To make gravy, remove meat and thicken cooking liquid with a mixture of flour and cold water. Cook on high 15 minutes.

    Slice roulades and serve with gravy over mashed potatoes.
