- 4 whole boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 0.3 cup soy sauce
- 5/8 cup dry sherry
- 1 0.5 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
- 0.3 cup red wine vinegar
- 3/8 cup sugar
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 4 slice Muenster or provolone cheese

Combine soy sauce, sherry, pineapple juice, red wine vinegar, sugar, and garlic powder to make the marinade.

Add chicken breasts and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.

Remove chicken and grill, sauté, or bake, basting with marinade only during the first several minutes of cooking.

When chicken is nearly done, top each breast with a slice of Muenster or provolone cheese.

Broil just until cheese starts to melt.
