  • 2 cup cubed fully cooked ham or turkey sausage
  • 1 cup dry split peas
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery with leaves
  • 1 cup shredded carrot
  • 2 tbsp snipped fresh parsley
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme, crushed
  • 0.3 tsp pepper
  • 4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 cup quick-cooking rice
  • In a 3.5-, 4-, or 5-qt. crockery cooker combine ham, peas, onion, celery, carrot
