- 2 cup cubed fully cooked ham or turkey sausage
- 1 cup dry split peas
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery with leaves
- 1 cup shredded carrot
- 2 tbsp snipped fresh parsley
- 0.5 tsp dried thyme, crushed
- 0.3 tsp pepper
- 4 cup chicken broth
- 2 cup water
- 1 cup quick-cooking rice
- In a 3.5-, 4-, or 5-qt. crockery cooker combine ham, peas, onion, celery, carrot
- parsley, thyme, and pepper.
