- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/3 cup water
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp margarine
- 2 tbsp onion, chopped fine

corn oil Combine cornmeal, sugar and salt in sacepan. Add water. Cook on low heat until mixture leaves sides of pan. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients (except oil). Cover and chill. Form into small finger-shaped rolls and fry in hot oil until golden brown. Turn during cooking. Drain on paper towels before serving hot with fish or seafood.
