Souper Meat and Potatoes Pie

Quick meat and potatoes dinner — ground beef, mushroom soup, onion, egg and breadcrumbs pressed into a pie plate, baked and frosted with mashed potatoes and melted cheddar.

  • 10 0.8 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 0.3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.3 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 0 salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cup mashed potatoes
  • 0 shredded cheddar cheese for topping

Instructions

    Combine soup, ground beef, onion, egg, bread crumbs, parsley, salt and pepper.

    Press into a 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.

    Spoon off fat. Frost with mashed potatoes and top with shredded cheese.

    Return to oven just long enough to melt cheese and heat potatoes.
