Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Pork

  • 3 lb boneless pork, cut into 2-inch strips
  • 3 tsp paprika
  • 2 whole small onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 whole green bell peppers, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 27 oz canned pineapple chunks, drained, reserve syrup
  • 0.5 cup vinegar
  • 1 0.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 0.5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

    Sprinkle pork pieces with paprika.

    Brown pork in a skillet and drain fat. Transfer to slow cooker.

    Add sliced onions and bell pepper strips.

    Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and 1⅓ cups pineapple liquid. Pour over pork.

    Cover and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours, or on high for 4 to 5 hours.

    During the last 30 minutes, add pineapple chunks.

    Serve over steamed rice.
