Slow Cooker Polish Sausage and Cabbage

  • 0.5 head medium cabbage, coarsely sliced
  • 1 small potato, peeled and diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 large onion, cut into 1-inch slices
  • 1 0.5 lb Polish kielbasa sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 14 oz chicken broth

Instructions

    Place the coarsely sliced cabbage in the slow cooker. Toss with the diced potato, salt, and caraway seeds.

    Add the sliced onion and Polish sausage pieces on top. Pour the chicken broth over all; stir lightly.

    Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours, or on HIGH for 2–4 hours, until the cabbage and sausage are very tender.

    Serve with mustard, horseradish, and boiled new potatoes on the side.
