Ingredients
Servings
4
- 3 lb chicken pieces (bone-in, skin-on)
- 1 cup canned diced tomatoes
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp sweet paprika
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.3 tsp black pepper
- 0.3 tsp dried oregano
- 0.3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 0.5 cup water
Instructions
- 1
Place chicken pieces in slow cooker. Add 1½ cups water, tomatoes, green pepper, onion, paprika, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano. Stir to blend.
- 2
Cover and cook on LOW for 9–10 hours until chicken is very tender.
- 3
Remove chicken pieces from the cooker. Skim off fat from liquid.
- 4
Turn control to HIGH. Mix flour with ¼ cup cooled liquid from the pot until smooth. Stir into remaining liquid in cooker.
- 5
Cook on HIGH until sauce thickens, about 10 minutes. Blend in sour cream.
- 6
Return chicken to pot and heat through — do not boil once sour cream is added.
- 7
Serve over egg noodles.
