Slow Cooker Deviled Beef

  • 2 lb lean beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 packet envelope sloppy joe seasoning mix
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 1 cup celery, coarsely sliced
  • 1 count green bell pepper, cut in squares
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar

Instructions

    Place all ingredients in the slow cooker. Stir to mix well.

    Cover and cook on LOW for about 10 hours, or HIGH for 4½ to 5 hours. Resist the urge to peek or stir until near the end of cooking.

    Serve the beef over hot cooked noodles or rice.

    Note: This can also be baked in a covered 2-quart casserole at 325 degrees F for 2 to 2½ hours.
