  • 2 count medium carrots, sliced 1/4-inch thick
  • 0.3 cup baked ham, chopped
  • 1 count strip orange peel (1/2 x 3 inch)
  • 1 count dried bay leaf
  • 2 0.8 lb lean boneless beef chuck, cut into 1½-inch cubes
  • 0.3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.3 tsp black peppercorns
  • 0.3 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 0.5 tsp dried sage
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. 1

In the slow cooker, combine shallots, garlic, carrots, ham, orange peel, and bay leaf.

  2. 2

Coat beef cubes with the 1/4 cup flour and add to the slow cooker.
