Slow Cooker Beef Tips

  • 4 lb beef sirloin tips or stew beef, cubed
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour, divided
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 10 0.5 oz condensed beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 0.3 cup dry red wine
  • 3 cup buttered egg noodles, cooked, for serving

Instructions

    Toss beef cubes with ½ cup flour, salt and pepper until well coated. Place in slow cooker.

    Add green onions and mushrooms on top.

    Combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste; pour over beef and vegetables. Stir.

    Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 12 hours.

    One hour before serving, switch to HIGH. Mix red wine with 3 tablespoons flour into a smooth paste. Stir into slow cooker.

    Cover and cook until sauce thickens, about 20 minutes. Serve over buttered egg noodles.
