Slow Cooker Barbecued Pot Roast

  • 2 lb beef pot roast, trimmed of fat
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup tomato paste
  • 24 whole black peppercorns
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

    Sprinkle salt over the roast and place in the slow cooker.

    Spread tomato paste over the top and sides of the meat.

  3. 3

    Press peppercorns into the tomato paste coating.

  4. 4

    Top with chopped onion and drizzle Worcestershire sauce over everything.

    Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours until meat is very tender.

    Serve sliced with the accumulated juices as gravy.
