Skillet Cabbage

  • 3 each tbsp. margarine
  • 0.5 each lb. lean ground beef
  • 0.5 each c. chopped onion
  • 4 each c. shredded cabbage
  • 3 each tbsp. flour
  • 1 each tsp. salt substitute
  • 0.3 each tsp. paprika
  • 0.5 each tsp. celery seed
  • 0.8 each c. low fat milk

Instructions

    Melt margarine in large skillet.

  2. 2

    Add ground beef and onions.

  3. 3

    Cook stirring frequently until meat looses it's pink color and begins to brown.

  4. 4

    Add cabbage and continue to cook over moderate heat stirring frequently until cabbage is wilted and starts to brown.

    Sprinkle flour and seasonings over cabbage, stir until flour disappears.

    Add milk, reduce heat, cover skillet.

  7. 7

    Simmer 25 minutes or until cabbage is tender.

  8. 8

    Taste, add salt if needed.
