Simply Divine Casserole

Layers of egg noodles, a creamy cottage cheese and sour cream mixture, and a rich meaty Ragu sauce — this two-casserole dish freezes beautifully and feeds a crowd.

  • 8 oz medium egg noodles
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 15 0.5 oz jar plain spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz canned tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 to taste salt and pepper
  • 12 oz cottage cheese
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted

Instructions

    Boil, drain, and rinse egg noodles.

    Brown ground beef; add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes.

    In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, and green onions.

    Grease two 2-quart casserole dishes. Place ¼ of noodles in each dish. Drizzle butter over noodles. Add ½ of cheese mixture to each.

    Add remaining noodles, drizzle with remaining butter, and top with meat sauce. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 45 minutes.
