  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

    CREAM sugar and shortening.

    BEAT in eggs.

  3. 3

    STIR in buttermilk.

  4. 4

    SIFT and ADD flour, soda, salt, nutmeg.

  5. 5

    DROP by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.

  6. 6

    BAKE at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
