  • 3 lb large shrimp, unshelled
  • 2 cup milk (for soaking)
  • 0.5 lb butter
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 0.3 cup hot sauce

Instructions

    Soak unshelled shrimp in milk overnight in the refrigerator.

    Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).

    Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in BBQ sauce, ketchup, black pepper, and hot sauce. Remove from heat.

    Drain milk from shrimp. Arrange shrimp in a single layer in a large baking dish.

    Pour sauce over shrimp, cover, and let stand 1 hour at room temperature.

    Bake uncovered for 15 minutes until shrimp are pink and sauce is bubbling.

    Serve with crusty bread for dipping into the sauce.
