Shrimp Artichoke Casserole

  • 1 0.5 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup dry sherry
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.3 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 2-quart baking dish.

    Layer artichoke hearts on the bottom of the prepared dish. Arrange shrimp over the artichokes.

    In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.

    Gradually whisk in heavy cream and sherry. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.

    Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and cayenne. Pour sauce over shrimp and artichokes.

    Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and parsley over the top.

    Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned. Serve immediately.
