Sherried Beef

  • 2 lb beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry onion soup mix
  • 0.5 cup dry sherry
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.3 tsp black pepper
  • 12 oz egg noodles or rice, cooked to serve

Instructions

    Place beef cubes in slow cooker.

    In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix, sherry, mushrooms, garlic powder, and pepper. Pour over beef.

    Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours, until beef is very tender.

    Stir well before serving over egg noodles or rice.
