- 2 lb ziti pasta, uncooked
- 2 lb ricotta cheese
- 3 oz grated Romano cheese
- 3 cup tomato sauce
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 1 0.5 lb shredded mozzarella cheese

Cook ziti according to package directions, 12 to 14 minutes until al dente, stirring often. Drain well — do not rinse.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Combine ricotta, Romano, tomato sauce (reserving ¼ cup), and pepper in a large mixing bowl.

Gently combine cooked ziti with the cheese and sauce mixture.

Spread the reserved ¼ cup sauce in a 13x9x2-inch pan.

Add ziti mixture and top with shredded mozzarella.

Cover loosely with foil and bake until mozzarella is thoroughly melted, about 12 to 15 minutes. Serve with garlic bread.
