Sausage-Apple Casserole

- 8 cup white bread, cut into cubes
- 1 lb bulk pork sausage
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 0.5 cup water
- 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 12×8-inch baking dish.

Place bread cubes in a large mixing bowl.

Brown sausage in a skillet with a little water; drain. Add onion and green pepper; cook until tender.

Pour sausage mixture over bread cubes. Add water, apples, and salt. Toss to mix.

Spoon into prepared baking dish. Bake for 30–40 minutes until heated through and golden.
