Red Lobster's Shrimp Diablo

Copycat Red Lobster shrimp in a fiery BBQ-hot sauce butter glaze — shrimp soaked in milk overnight, then baked at high heat in spicy sauce.

  • 3 lb large uncooked shrimp in shells
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 lb unsalted butter
  • 1 jar Kraft BBQ sauce
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp fresh ground pepper
  • 0.3 cup Frank's Red Hot Sauce

Instructions

    Wash shrimp in cool water. Soak shrimp in milk overnight in refrigerator.

    Mix butter, BBQ sauce, ketchup, pepper, and hot sauce in a saucepan. Stir until boiling. Remove from heat and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

    Drain milk from shrimp. Place shrimp in a baking pan and cover evenly with sauce.

    Let stand 1 hour.

    Bake uncovered in a preheated 450°F oven for 15 minutes (less time for smaller shrimp).
