  • 3 tsp red chile powder
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 4 lb chicken, cut into 10 pieces
  • 0.3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cup yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup fresh tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 cup chicken stock
  • 2 cup cooked white rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, combine the garam masala, turmeric, chile powder, and paprika. Mix well.

  2. 2

Season the chicken pieces with salt and the spice blend. Set aside.

Add the chicken stock and reserved chicken pieces. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes until the chicken is tender.
