  • 6 Tablesps butter (¾ stick)
  • 1/3
  • 1 ½ ounces of raisins
  • 3 eggs *
  • 1 egg white
  • ¾ cup vital wheat gluten flour
  • cup unbleached, all-purpose wheat (white) flour
  • trace of salt (two light shakes or to taste)

Instructions

    Mix brown sugar, water, cinnamon, raisins, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 Tbsp Butter and salt.

    Boil for 15 minutes, then remove from heat and add vanilla.

    Combine ground raisins, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup water, salt, and lemon juice.

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

    Brush the risen buns with egg wash.

  6. 6

    Bake for 13-15 minutes.

  7. 7

    Right after they’re baked, transfer to a cooling rack and brush with simple syrup.
