  • 1 0.5 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 0 salt and Tabasco to taste
  • 1 0.5 oz dry spaghetti sauce mix
  • 0.5 tsp ground oregano
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    Preheat oven to 400°F.

    Brown ground beef in large skillet; drain. Stir in bell pepper, onion, garlic, salt, Tabasco, spaghetti sauce mix, oregano, water and tomato sauce; simmer 10 minutes.

    Make batter: Combine milk, oil and eggs; beat 1 minute. Lightly spoon in flour and salt; beat 2 minutes at medium speed until smooth.

    Pour hot meat mixture into ungreased 9x13-inch baking pan. Top with mozzarella, covering filling completely.

    Pour batter over all; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

    Bake 25-30 minutes until puffed and deep golden brown. Serve immediately, cutting into squares.
