- 1 lb ground beef 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp salt ½ pound Velveeta, cubed
- ½ cup chopped onion 2 tablespoons flour
- ¼ cup milk 1 ¼ teaspoons salt
- ¼ cup dry bread crumbs dash of pepper
- ¼ teaspoon pepper 4 cups sliced potatoes
- ¼ teaspoon celery salt 1 (10 oz.) package frozen peas and carrots,
- oil for browning thawed

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Lightly grease a 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.

Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a boil.

Repeat layers, then top with the last 1/3 of the potatoes, layering potatoes so that there is a solid layer of potatoes with no gaps.

Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
