  • 1 lb ground beef 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt ½ pound Velveeta, cubed
  • ½ cup chopped onion 2 tablespoons flour
  • ¼ cup milk 1 ¼ teaspoons salt
  • ¼ cup dry bread crumbs dash of pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper 4 cups sliced potatoes
  • ¼ teaspoon celery salt 1 (10 oz.) package frozen peas and carrots,
  • oil for browning thawed

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

    Lightly grease a 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.

    Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a boil.

  4. 4

    Repeat layers, then top with the last 1/3 of the potatoes, layering potatoes so that there is a solid layer of potatoes with no gaps.

    Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
