Pot Roast

Simple slow cooker pot roast with vegetables. The meat falls apart after simmering all day on low. Optional onion soup mix or tomatoes add variation.

  • 2 lb roast
  • 6 each potatoes, halved
  • 3 each onions, peeled and quartered
  • 4 each carrots, cut into 2-inch lengths
  • 0.5 cup water

Instructions

    Put the vegetables on the bottom of the slow cooker and the meat on top.

    Season meat with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Pour water over all.

  4. 4

    Simmer on low all day (about 8–10 hours).

    Optional: add an envelope of onion soup mix or a small can of whole tomatoes for variation.

    The meat falls apart and is wonderful when done.
